Power curves of T _H and T _G at a significance level α = 0.05, using two bi-allelic markers H ₁ and H ₂ , when P ( H_i1) = P ( H_i2) = 0.50, i = 1,2, P _D = 0.15 and N = 600 sib-pairs for the second set of parameters of the four genetic models of Table 5. The power curves of T_H1 and T_G1 are calculated based on one marker H₁. In the graphs, Delta_11 = Δ₁₁ = P(H₁₁D) - P(H₁₁)P _D is a measure of linkage disequilibrium (LD) between marker H₁ and disease locus D; in addition, the other parameters are given by Δ₂₁ = P(H₂₁D) - P(H₂₁)P _D = Δ₁₁, ${\mathbf{\Delta }}_{H_1{H}_2}=P\left(H_{11}{H}_{21}\right)-P\left(H_{11}\right)P\left(H_{21}\right)=0.05$, and ${\mathbf{\Delta }}_{1D2}=P\left(H_{11}D{H}_{21}\right)-P\left(H_{11}\right){\mathbf{\Delta }}_{21}-P_D{\mathbf{\Delta }}_{H_1{H}_2}-P\left(H_{21}\right){\mathbf{\Delta }}_{11}-P\left(H_{11}\right)P_{D}P\left(H_{21}\right)={\mathbf{\Delta }}_{11/3}$.
