The total dataset was initially decomposed using structure into K clusters according to the best run, as determined by the selection criteria. This produced K subgroups that were subsequently subjected to the decomposition process, and so on recursively until the finest substructure for each subgroup line was detected, as signalled by K = 1 for the best solution.
