There are three groups of subway stations based on the hierarchical clustering of the microbial community abundance in each location. We set the number of clusters to be three and use the Pearson correlation as the distance metric. We observe that the East river is a clear boundary that separates the three districts: Manhattan (blue dots), Brooklyn (yellow marks), and the Roosevelt Island (one red dot at top right)
